Event Planner

Are details your passion?  Are you gifted in hosting?  You might be our next Event Planner!  The Event Planner will be in charge of every facet of meetings and events.  Collaborate with AALC Director, volunteer staff, and AALC Pastoral Network to work out event details including: venues, food, speakers, entertainment, transportation and cleanup.

 

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and execute plans for business luncheons, dinners, picnics, programs and receptions 
  • Inspect and critically evaluate meeting space, lodging and related venues and services to ensure a consistently high standard of quality, safety and security for all ages. 
  • Select key suppliers, prepare budgets, negotiate and execute contracts in compliance with corporate guidelines 
  • Managing meeting registration process, including distribution of meeting invitations 
  • Set-up on-site meetings, oversee on-site set up 
  • Communicate with volunteers, Center clients and staff regarding events.

Work Hours

Work hours are flexible and require a self starter who thinks independently.

 

Dress Code

Please dress modestly.  We encourage women to wear long pants or a long skirt.  Nothing tight.  Tops should fully cover shoulders; three-quarter sleeves or longer preferred.
